My new found love for the colder months

At the end of our questionable English summer I thought I’d be loathe to swap my yet-to-be worn summer wardrobe for an autumn one. But a funny thing happened, as soon as I felt a nip in the air the euphoria typically associated with slipping my sandals on was transferred to wearing my new pair of DUO boots. I guess it’s because I’m fed up of dressing for a season that never came (except for a few token weeks in September), it’s good to feel wrapped up and cosy and I’m looking forward to crisp Sunday walks to the pub and meeting the girls for hot chocolate during one of our numerous shopping expeditions.

This year I’ve gone for an all-round classic fitted boot by DUO called Florence. I can wear it with my skinny jeans, under smart black trousers and with my new grey cable knit dress and thick tights. They’re such a good investment, in the past I’d buy 4 pairs of cheap and cheerful boots that would generally leave marks on my legs and feet. DUO only use premium Italian leather and because they’re designed to fit you perfectly with 21 calf fittings in the range you’re bound to find boots that feel like they’re custom made for you.

My next purchase come pay day will be a pair of DUO Genova boots in Green, I’ve got a winter wedding and know I’ll get cold in the church, so my cunning plan is to wear a lovely dress but sneak a pair of thick woollen socks under my boots to stay toastie and no one need know. I popped into the new DUO Edinburgh Fitting Room to have a look at Genova in the flesh before I buy them on the web and the suede is gorgeous I didn’t realise that all DUO boots are made with a memory foam foot-bed which is why they’re exceptionally comfortable under foot!

Anyway, enough of my rambling - I must get back to work.
